Emma joined St Mungo’s as its Chief Executive in November 2022.
Prior to joining St Mungo’s Emma worked in central Government for almost two decades and brought with her a wealth of experience and knowledge in supporting people who have been displaced and marginalised. Most recently she was Director General for Asylum and Protection, responsible for the asylum system and refugee resettlement programmes, in particular refugee resettlement from Syria, Afghanistan and Ukraine. Previously Emma was Director General for Service Excellence in the Department for Work and Pensions where she led delivery of child maintenance, pensions and working age benefits.
Emma has a doctorate in forced migration and international relations from the London School of Economics.
